My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
I find inspiration daily, from the beauty that surrounds me in nature and it’s landscape, from dawn to dusk. Also, my dreams inspire me.
I get serenity from painting in my studios, surrounded by my rescues, our Dog and two Cats. Classical music and my current emotional state influences the colors of my palette. My personal relationships also influence and inspire me, greatly. I seek authenticity in everything, and everyone.
I always prep my canvas with two coats of tinted gesso. Let it dry, and, prior to painting, I sand down to a smooth silky surface. My select medium is oil. Although there are times when I use acrylic and oil. I used to paint primarily with a palette knife. Today, I use several size brushes. Primarily, it's what the canvas calls out to me during the painting process.
I celebrate as often as the space in my mind allows, by acknowledging a successful business career in publishing. Highlighted by the fact that I worked with the best in the magazine industry. World renowned Art Directors, Editors, Photographers, and Designers. When I chose to reduce the stress in my life and leave the publishing industry, I invented a technique, experimenting with very heavy water color paper, by designing and cutting out original shapes for vessels/vases. My palette was created out of vibrant colored tissue paper. I called them 'Paper-on-Paper Vases, and exhibited and sold to galleries throughout the New York region and produced commissioned work, as well. Please visit my Portfolio page for some eye candy.
